A Little Update.

Hey Y'all..
We've decided that since we are so very far away right now from all of our family and friends back home this will be a great way for you guys to be updated on all the new and latest things going on with us. As you guys may know we are in Alaska where John is stationed with the Army. We thought we would be closer to home by now but as of right now it looks like we are going to be here for a little bit longer.. Another winter will be here before we know it. Fun! Fun! But we have made a nice little comfortable home for us in Eagle River. Its about 20 miles north of Anchorage and its a small town feel.. which we love! ♥
Feel free to visit us anytime.. We have MORE than enough room! :]
Anyway- As you guys may or may not know John FINALLY came home from Iraq in November-safe and sound. Thank you all who kept him and us in your prayers for a safe and speedy return. It was a long 14 months to say the least but we are so thankful that we are now able to spend everyday together and remember never to take each other for granted. In December and January we were able to come back home for a short little while and got the wonderful chance to visit with some of our families and friends and then we were so excited to get to be able to go on our long awaited "honeymoon" to the Bahamas. It was a blast to say the least & it really was paradise! ♥
We returned back home to Alaska in early January and found out in February that we are now EXPECTING! We were thrilled from the very beginning and once again realized how truly blessed we are. We have been told that we are having a little GIRL, Gabriela Eden due on October 5th, 2008 and we are so very excited that we are being chosen to be parents and we look forward to raising her together. We look forward to all the many rewards and obstacles that life has to throw at us and we will face them together. ♥
We will keep you guys updated through here on a regular basis. We thank all of you guys for being so supportive in our lives. Without you all our lives would not be complete.. We hope to see all of you when we finally get back!

Updates.

Its been a great week since the last time we wrote and its time for a new blog! :)
Tomorrow is week 37 for Us.. The days are getting closer and closer and the time is really almost here! Its so crazy.. and so surreal feeling..It feels like just yesterday we found out that we were expecting and now.. the time is so close by! ..
On a separate note:
We had a meeting this week with the families in John's Platoon and we got more information about when they are going out for training and when they are going to be off for the holidays. As of right now we are scheduled to have around the 20th of December off through the 4th of January for the holidays. We are deciding now what we should do.. Of course we would LOVE to come back again to visit our families and bring Gabriela to meet everyone but then on the other hand we are realizing what an enormous job that would be in itself and how long of a flight that would be with a little baby.. We are weighing our options now and we are kind of thinking of maybe just having a Christmas in Alaska this year.. and of course everyone is invited to join us!! The more the merrier! :)
